These are all of the questions I get asked frequently in real life and online. I hope all of these responses help, and feel free to contact me on social media @superfitbabe or email me at superfitbab@gmail.com!

  1. Height? 5’4 1/2″ (YES. That half counts.)
  2. Ethnicity? Vietnamese
  3. How old are you? Turning 21 in December!
  4. What do you typically eat in a day? I post a LOT of full day of eating videos on my YouTube channel. Here are just a few examples to get you started!
    1. School day: https://youtu.be/sEDNYF0xCVc
    2. Weekend: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=obKl2MTMig8
    3. Work day: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=9TjZYmJ7KKk
  5. Fitness routine? Six days a week of exercising for 60-90 minutes, primarily weight-training, HIIT, and a little bit of cardio
  6. Favorite food? Far too many for me to list! However, I’ll give you my top fifteen (in random order): Japanese sweet potatoes, kabocha, beans, tofu, Brussels sprouts, spinach, dates, vegan desserts, nut butter, oats, Vietnamese spring rolls, sushi, curry, bread, and popcorn!
  7. Favorite “cheat” food? I don’t really consider any food as a “cheat” anymore (full reasons why linked here!) because you need all kinds of food to maintain a balanced and wholesome diet (however, I fully acknowledge that certain foods are more nutrient-dense than others), Having said that, I have a massive sweet tooth and appetite for all the sinful eats. Full list of my favorite vegan indulgences and junk foods is coming soon!
  8. What is it like being a vegan Food Science student? I absolutely love it! Everyone in my department is very respectful of my vegan lifestyle, even though they may not want to be vegan themselves. I talk a lot about more of what we do and learn in classes in this mukbang on my YouTube channel!
  9. How do I lose weight/belly fat? In my opinion, losing weight and losing belly fat are two different things. You can lose water weight or muscle mass on a weight loss journey, but you can gain muscle mass while losing belly fat. Everyone is different, but in general, drink lots of water, get plenty of sleep, eat clean 80-90% of the time, exercise according to your body type (make sure to do exercises that you enjoy and switch it up to shock your body and speed up progress!) and don’t stress out too much!
  10. How do you find motivation/willpower? Motivation and willpower are not the same thing. Motivation is what gets you started, and willpower is what keeps you going. Before you look at these tips, read my post about willpower here and why it is not always the key to success. 1) Ask yourself why you started and imagine how wonderful the feeling will be after you accomplish your goals! 2) Always love yourself no matter what. Even if you mess up or hit a plateau, just remember you’re doing your best and keep going because every day is a new chance to take one step ahead. 3) Read others’ stories and find inspiration from their background, their action plan and their results. I find this better than “fitspiration” because it’s much more realistic, but there is nothing wrong with looking at “fitspo” pics once in a while! 4) Find support from your family, friends and even people online! You’ll be surprised as to how many people in the world there are that share the same problems and passions as you! 5) Take action of your surroundings–get rid of triggers and anything you would binge on, utilize at-home/no-equipment workouts if needed, and find the most accessible resources that can help you!

  1. Your regimen is super impressive! How wonderful that you are leading this healthy lifestyle at just 18 years old. Unfortunately, most people start eating healthy a lot later in life or not at all. I started at 24 and never looked back… and never felt better! That’s actually part of the reason why I co-created my self-improvement blog. ^_^ It’s nice to see that you’re sharing your health wisdom with the world as well!

You say you’re in transition to vegetarianism and then to veganism… I’m in the same boat as you, but it’s been rough because I have all sorts of food intolerances (mostly grains and dairy)… restricting my diet even further makes me anxious.

I wish you all the best!
