DON’T BE FOOLED BY THE TITLE.
I am not Paleo, I am no label at all, just putting that out there. The reason why I’ve made this post is to show that I still eat meat! My Instagram is flooded with vegan, plant-based meals, sometimes an egg or piece of sushi here and there, which is why there is a big misconception that I am vegan and a bunch of people ask me if I am!
Note that the reason why the majority of my food posts are vegan is because they happen to also be my most aesthetically pleasing meals. I tend to put the most effort into my breakfast or brunch meals, which happen to be vegetarian or vegan. I am not intentionally trying to fit into a certain community. My photo filters and YouTube editing style may parallel some vegan or style YouTubers out there, but that’s just the way I like to make my content. It’s classy, gorgeous, professional and versatile. Nothing to do with wanting more views, more likes, more followers, subscribers, etc. I would say that my feed resembles a pretty plant-based lifestyle. Lots and lots of fruit, vegetable, sweet potatoes, peanut butter and tofu! Yes, I don’t eat red meat anymore and there are days when I go vegetarian or mostly vegan, but I only show a fraction of what I eat in a day or in a week.
What you guys don’t usually see are my pretty darn carnivorous but not always Paleo meals which aren’t nearly as beautiful as my Instagram or Tumblr photos, but still taste amazing and hold lots of high quality protein! I’ve finally decided to round ’em all up so that you can get a glimpse of what I eat, and maybe get a few recipe ideas that I don’t have on my blog just yet! Sometimes I eat a lot of meat in a week and sometimes I eat little to none. It honestly varies depending on what my parents cook and where we go out to eat.
It’s basically like living a Hannah Montana-esque life. Miley in the morning, Montana at night. Herbivore during the day, carnivore or omnivore at night. If you look at my What I Eat in a Day videos, you will see that I eat meat or animal products closer to the end of the day. I like to eat my carby meals in the morning so that I can burn them all off and energize myself, and end a kickass day with some healthy fats and protein that will rebuild my body slowly, since protein and fat take much longer to digest than carbs. I still make sure I get enough protein in the morning, otherwise I’m starving throughout the day. I just don’t post it because, well, it looks as ugly as the photos I will show down below. Until then, here are some more terrible photos that you will never, ever see on my social media except here!

So there ya have it. I unleash my secret carnivore after a long day’s worth of tofu, sweet potatoes, beans, fruits and kale. Don’t get me wrong–I love vegan food, I love vegetarian food, I really, really want to try out the lifestyle and contribute to such wonderful causes for the environment, ethics, sustainability, health, etc. However, there’s also the case where people thrive off of eating meat. Everyone is different! Some days I thrive off of consuming tofu and beans while other times I’d feel more satiated with some fish. Simple as that. Hopefully your eyes aren’t ruined from these terrible photos and let me know if you want more of these posts!
Do you like to alternate different diets every day?
I love that you feel like you don’t have to put yourself in a diet box, labels can be quite annoying/stressful. And I’d love to hear how you made that chicken sesame cabbage salad, it looks delightful!

Thank you! 😀 I just want to listen to my body and eat whatever I feel my best on! I might do a recipe–it’s actually very simple and quick to make!
