I’ve always wanted to do these types of videos but I never got a good chance to do it! Now that my spring break is officially here, I couldn’t think of a better time. Normally I’d eat a shiz more ton of fruit, but unfortunately when I got home there wasn’t any left! Booooo 😥 On the bright side, I went on a long awaited trip to the farmers’ market! It was such an awesome experience as usual to see fresh produce and try organic, locally made treats such as the paleo granola and the raw tiramisu cheesecake just made of cashews!
This was on the Saturday before my spring break, so during the school day I don’t go out to eat at all. And no way would I want to film in a classroom. Awk. Anyways, if you want to see my main meals in the video, you can find them listed below. Disclaimer–I don’t count calories because everything online is too different to pin the truth. But I do like to have a good idea as to what my macros are and to intuitively eat for satisfaction and balance, by eating mostly clean of course!
WHAT I ATE
Breakfast: One-Ingredient Cake with Greek yogurt peanut butter frosting, shredded coconut, cacao powder, cinnamon, frozen bananas, carob chips, almonds and walnuts
Lunch: samples from the market as seen above, scallops with sauteed spinach and grilled asparagus
Snack: mini protein shake with Silk cashew milk and Gardenia vanilla vegan protein powder, Greek yogurt with cacao powder and farmers’ market fig jam (for experimentation :))
Dinner: winter salad, sauteed spinach, baked teriyaki chicken with Sriracha and baked tilapia with grilled onions
Dessert: piece of a Salted Caramel & Dark Chocolate Nut KIND bar
I had a blast filming for you guys–yes, including the mini rambles on my way back from the market–and I really want to do more of these videos in the future! Let me know what you want to see next and if I should do more vlog type-vids! ❤
P.S. Sorry if the Instagram video looks better than the real one! Adobe doesn’t have wonderful filters like Insta does 😛
