I commend your bravery.
There was my almond butter jar, sulking sadly because it was half-full. Do you remember my old nut butter trick? It reincarnated into something beautiful. And how could I ignore the poor little guy?
“Eat me. Eat me.”
RECIPE
- 1/2 cup almond butter
- 1/2 cup coconut or almond milk (so as long as the milk and almond butter are in the same ratio, it can be more or less)
- 1/4 cup shredded coconut or 1 1/2 TBSP melted coconut oil
- 1 tsp cinnamon
- Sweetener to taste
- Opt: chocolate, raisins
PROCEDURE
- Blend all ingredients. You may or may not have to stir it around so that everything is evenly blended.
- Scrape into a container and store.
Alright, it doesn’t look extraordinary but rest assured that it tastes that way. Be patient, since it takes a good chunk of time to scrape all of the butter off. Worst comes to worst use your tongue to remove all of it! I would’ve blended it more to spread the cinnamon and coconut everywhere, but impatience kind of runs in the family. What can I say? The stomach wants what it wants.
What’s your favorite nut butter recipe? I’ve always been anything cinnamon 🙂
